Our February mission-of-the-month is Crisis Care Kits. The Nazarene Church provides disaster relief through many different compassionate ministries around the globe. One of these “kits” contain shampoo, bars of soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes, band-aids, fingernail clippers, hair combs, hand towels, pocket-sized tissues, and a Beanie Baby-sized stuff toy for comfort. We collect items throughout the year to put together 48 complete kits. These are delivered to a distribution center in Sacramento from where they are then delivered to the site of a natural disaster anywhere in the world when it happens.
